Our Story

A Legacy of Warmth in the Northwoods

Reforestation Camp Ski Lodge was born from a simple conviction: that the best mountain escapes are the ones that feel like coming home. Tucked along a quiet stretch of Reforestation Road, our lodge has been a gathering place for families, friends, and weary skiers seeking respite since its founding.

What began as a modest timber-frame shelter has grown into a beloved Suamico destination — one that honors the rugged beauty of Wisconsin's northern landscape while offering every comfort modern travelers expect. Our halls carry the scent of cedar and pine, our common rooms glow with the warmth of stone fireplaces, and our guests leave with stories rather than just photographs.

Suamico changes with every season, and so does Reforestation Camp Ski Lodge — each visit reveals a new side of the Northwoods.

Winter — The Ski Season

Powder days, glowing fireplaces, and the kind of silence that only deep snow can bring. Our lodge sits within minutes of Suamico's best ski trails, and we provide everything from heated boot racks to hot cocoa at midnight.

Spring — Thaw & Renewal

As the ice recedes, the Northwoods awaken. Birdsong returns, trout streams swell, and our trails become a painter's palette of brown and green. A quiet, reflective time to unplug and breathe.

Summer — Lake & Trail

Kayak the nearby lakes, hike the ridgeline trails, or simply read on the porch with a glass of local wine. Summer at the lodge is slow, sun-drenched, and deeply satisfying.

Autumn — Golden Hour

Maple and birch set the hillsides on fire with color. This is our most photographed season — and for good reason. Crisp air, fewer crowds, and the promise of winter just over the horizon.
